Yvette Andrewartha (vocals) Martin Jenkins (keyboards) and Nigel Wayne (Saxophone) will be giving lyrical and melodic renditions of great jazz classics in the gorgeous surroundings of this fabulous historic building in the centre of Okehampton. Yvette is a Devon based jazz vocalist with a passion for bringing the Great American Songbook to life: think of all those wonderful swing, ballad and bossa numbers - sung by Ella Fitzgerald, Shirley Horn, Doris Day, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Diane Krall, Liane Carroll, Jamie Callum and Michael Buble. Yvette’s voice has been likened to that of Helen Merrill or Julie London described as contraltos with warm, husky intimate tones.
