“Sede de ter Mundo” – Homage to Sérgio Godinho, an artist that sings for freedom and justice

A concert that is a homage to Sérgio Godinho, a portuguese singer and song writer who faught against the regime with his songs, and still is one of the greatest portuguese artists alive. César Cardoso is the responsible for the musical arrangements to aproach Sérgio´s songs to jazz music. The songs will be performed by the ensemble composed by the teachers of Convívio Jazz School. Teresa Sarmento (voice), Lievin Lefrebre (piano), Richard Okkerse (guitar), Antón Iglesias (drums), João Pedro Dias (trumpet), João Paulo Silva (sax) and Pedro André Costa (double-bass). There will be also a brass band on stage, PevidémBrass, composed by musicians from Sociedade Musical de Pevidém, a local philarmonic band.
