Montreal Makes Room For Jazzwomen

To celebrate International Jazz Day, Divertissement Mercier is teaming up with Quebec trumpeter Martine Labbé and chic cabaret Le Balcon to offer a unique evening on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 7pm. Martine, visiting from Morocco, will bring her music to Montreal for the first time in Quebec since 2017.
Since 2015, Divertissement Mercier has made this event a must-see in Montreal, focusing this year 2025 on influential women in jazz.
The evening will spotlight talented jazzwomen, with performances by Martine Labbé and guests such as Anuschka Wright on vocals, Salin on drums, Quinn on guitar and Blanche Baillargeon on double bass. These artists, too often under-represented, will be celebrated for their unique impact on the jazz world.
