Exciting up and coming sextet MANGORATA formed in Leeds, are a young ensemble led by in-demand drummer Miles Pillinger and featuring 2025 Parliamentary Jazz Award winner, Olivia Cuttill.
The band have a sound characterised by wild and inventive improvisation, in a jungle of Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, Swing and Funk groove.
Their bio specifically names their inspirations as Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter, Hermeto Pascoal and Herbie Hancock - a perfect 'fit' for International Jazz Day.
