Aceh, a region with a long history of culture and peace, holds great potential to participate in International Jazz Day. Music and art have long been an integral part of Acehnese life, serving as a means of cultural expression, social diplomacy, and the strengthening of local identity.
The year 2025 marks 20 years of peace in Aceh following the end of conflict through the Helsinki MoU agreement on August 15, 2005. Over the past two decades, Aceh has undergone a remarkable transformation into a more stable, open, and progressive region. Through Khanduri Jazz 2025, Aceh aims to show the world how music, culture, and peace can blend in harmony—making jazz a symbol of reconciliation and hope for a better future.
