JOHNNY ALEGRE with Fritz Barth, Anna Fian and Shariko Pascual perform jazz and blues standards in Cafe Kalsada, 50 kilometers (31 mi) south of Manila in the Philippine resort city of Calamba, Barangay Kalsada. Alegre is a prolific jazz composer-guitarist, who collaborates with Acoustic Ladyland (PH) comprising of the Austrian drummer Fritz Bart, and the Filipino vocalist Anna Fian with bassist Shariko Pascual. Away from Manila’s community of lounges, International Jazz Day in Cafe Kalsada promises an unabashed and free exploration.
