Founded in their student days, the trio is working on a very own, clearly structured sound. The music focuses on the balance between a straightforward and the most interactive and impulsive playing style.
With Tobias Fröhlich (b), Jan-Einar Groh (dr) the pieces, mainly written by the bandleader herself, never lose touch to the musical native language of the musicians. Grown up with classical music and always accompanied by established pop and rock music Johanna does her duty to give all these styles their eligibility in modern day jazz music. The trio was awarded the prize for the best compositions at „Biberacher Jazzpreis“ in 2018 after releasing their debut EP „Juvenile“. In 2019 they won the 2nd prize at „Junger Deutscher Jazzpreis“.
