Since 2001 the house quartet has grown into a highly flexible ensemble. From lyrical nuances to explosive grooves, the formation masters the entire sound palette of contemporary jazz. They cultivate a form of playing that makes use of free improvisation, exquisite original compositions and jazz standards: a process that continues to this day. The charm and freshness make this band a shining example of the fact that jazz is more alive than ever.

Christian Müller opens the evening with a «palaver». The conversation with the house quartet will focus on formative musical moments in the lives of the four outstanding musicians. Humorous anecdotes will be elicited as well as difficult phases on the way to become a successful jazz musician.
