Jazz in Palestine is a series of workshops and outreach concerts taking place in Palestine to introduce Jazz Music to the Palestinian community highlighting its unique aesthetics and qualities and how it can be facilitated in working with underprivileged kids, particularly in refugee camps around Palestine to empower, allow students to connect together in a safe environment where open musical expression and improvisation is encouraged.

The project is led by Palestinian Global Jazz Flutist and Nay Master Faris Ishaq, a graduate of Berklee College of Music Global Jazz Master Program. The first workshop will be open to music teachers in community-based project working with underprivileged kids in refugee camps in Bethlehem/Palestine.
