The 5th edition of Campus Jazz offers an eclectic and multicultural program with a strong focus on the musical potential of the region of Aveiro. It features some of the most important musicians on the international jazz scene, such as Ben Wendel, Jeff Ballard and Rabih Abou Khalil and Portuguese values such as Raquel Martins, Rui Lúcio and João Martins. The UAveiro Jazz Orchestra and Combo and the Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras will be sharing the stage with some of these musicians. As usual, the audiences will have the chance to take part in numerous masterclasses, workshops, open classes, a big band internship and jam sessions. New professionals can also present its work under the Universidade de Aveiro International Jazz Competition.
