From April 24th through April 30th, 2026, the Centro Venezolano Americano de Mérida (CEVAM) will celebrate International Jazz Week with a vibrant series of cultural events. This year’s celebration focuses on the profound contributions of Latin American musicians to the jazz genre.
Our week-long program includes:
Cinema: Screenings that highlight the evolution and influence of Latin jazz legends.
Education: Academic conferences for students and the general public tracing the rich history of the genre.
Live Music: Dynamic jam sessions and grand concerts featuring local talent and the Mérida Big Band, performing iconic Latin jazz arrangements.
