South Africa It Has To Be Jazz Celebrates International Jazz Day in Recordings

We committed to record, document and archive incredible jazz musicians, the old and the new, as a way of celebrating the awarding of the bid to host International Jazz Day in South Africa. From the time of the announcement we have since recorded Mufhululu (Ululate) a sound we only use when celebrating an achievement or a milestone in the community. This was followed by Ancestors Danced, a demonstration of how the past and the present merge in song and dance. The most recent recording is Double or Nothing album depicting the achievements of two great youth pianists, one was awarded a scholarship to further his studies and the second one depicted excellence in jazz composition. The music and books are already available for the 30th.
