INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAY 2026 WITH OUIDAH JAZZ BROTHERHOOD

Ouidah Jazz Brotherhood is a Beninese association that works to develop a Jazz culture in connection with the African musical traditions of the Vodun universe.
To celebrate International Jazz Day 2026, the OJB brings together the great figures of Beninese Afro jazz in a big band on the stage of Cotonou on Thursday, April 30 at 9 p.m.
According to OJB, Jazz is both roots and branches, drawing its primary sources from African sacred rhythms and developing branches according to the era and the environment in which it is expressed.
As a prelude to the concert, there will be a conference/conversation on the history and influence of jazz.
