Beyond The Silkroad is a globally inspired classical fusion trio led by pianist Hiroko Mina. The ensemble brings together piano (Hiroko Mina), percussion (Nanny Assis), and Noh theatre (Mamiko Uchiwa). drum (Masahito Noda)
Romanian panflute (Susumu Otsuka)Noh, a traditional Japanese performing art often described as the world’s oldest opera, is recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. The fusion of classical piano, Latin percussion, and Noh creates a truly unprecedented sound world. By incorporating Noh into jazz collaboration, the project reflects the spirit of International Jazz Day—connecting cultures, fostering dialogue, and promoting peace through music.
