The 2026 Detroit Jazz Festival All-Star Generations Band is comprised of leading Detroit Jazz
Festival artists from varied generations and backgrounds. This iteration of the All-Stars
celebrate the Coltrane Centennial (1926-2026) performing original works inspired by Trane’s
spirit and new interpretations of Trane’s compositions. The group is an extension of the international presence and mentor-disciple tradition that is woven into the Detroit Jazz Festival’s legacy and mission. Each year select artists from past Festivals and varied generations are assembled and led by Detroit Jazz Fest.
