New Jazz Underground & flui + jam session

New Jazz Underground don’t stand for a manifesto or a new movement – their name is playful irony, and their music speaks for itself. The trio met at Juilliard and Jazz at Lincoln Center and launched their career at an unlikely moment: during the 2020 lockdown, playing in streets and parks and quickly building a massive online following. Their music swings hard, leans on the blues, and is driven by contemporary improvisation, raw energy and humor – jazz that’s alive, direct and anything but academic.
The evening will also feature flui, a trio led by Jaromír Honzák focused on intuitive interplay and presence in the moment.
The concert concludes with an open jam session.
