João Rocha Quartet is a jazz group influenced by artists such as Joshua Redman, Pat Metheny, Lyle Mays, and Mark Turner. Rooted in the jazz tradition, the group seeks to develop a more personal and modern sound, creating space for individual expression while always maintaining a cohesive group identity. The ensemble is composed of musicians studying at ESMAE and was the winner of the 4th edition of the UA International Jazz Competition in the categories of “Best Ensemble” and “Best Original Arrangement.”
