Saxophonist Yahya Dai, originally from Ankara and in the 38th year of his performance career, leads the Yahya Dai Quartet, established in 1999, will perform at Samm’s Bistro in recognition of the International Jazz Day. Dai has worked with many notable musicians including Tuna Ötenel, Janusz Szprot, David Friedman and has been involved with numerous local and international festivals, projects and organizations related to jazz.He’s participated in 70+ published recordings. In 2011 Dai’s Yahya Dai Quartet released the album “Ümitvar Mavi”.Yahya Dai (ts, ewi, fl) will be on the Samm’s Bistro stage with Berk Kurdoğlu (k), Gökhan Över (b) Serkan Alagök (d) and featuring Meriç Çalışan (v) on 30 April 2025, International Jazz Day.
