For the sixth year we will celebrate 30 April with a student workshop in the afternoon followed by an evening concert. This year we Celebrate the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Rodger Fox Big Band. Once again, IJD falls on a weekend, and so as last year, we have organised a weekend Festival.

On Friday, 29 April the New Zealand National Commission for UNESCO is hosting a panel discussion with jazz educators, representatives from the Commission and others who will talk about creativity and its role in making better cities.
