UNESCO International Jazz Day – Thun Edition: A Herbie Hancock Tribute
04/30 20:00
Thun
In the scenic Swiss town of Thun, a vibrant evening unfolds as jazz fans gather to celebrate UNESCO International Jazz Day. On April 30, this special event centers around a tribute to Herbie Hancock, one of jazz’s most transformative visionaries. The program brings together three extraordinary musicians— bassist Philipp Moll, violinist Simon Heggendorn, and Michael Zisman on bandoneon—whose diverse backgrounds and distinctive approaches to improvisation and composition embody the global spirit of jazz today. The event is curated by StillJazz, a Chicago-based nonprofit dedicated to fostering an international musical exchange. It is co-sponsored by CAFE BAR MOKKA and the city of Thun.
