The Universidad Centroamericana José Simeón Cañas (UCA), through its Centro Cultural Universitario (CCU), reports its participation in International Jazz Day with a Jazz Jam Session held on Wednesday, April 29, at 6:00 p.m., at the Ignacio Ellacuría Auditorium in San Salvador. The activity was led by the University Musical Ensemble, directed by Juan Carlos Berríos, with invited professional musicians, and was open to the public. Since 2020, UCA has continuously joined this global celebration, promoting jazz as an artistic, pedagogical, and social practice that fosters listening, improvisation, collaboration, critical thinking, and experiential learning, while strengthening cultural dialogue a and community engagement within the unversity.
