The United Nations (UN) will be holding the event “Speaking Jazz” at the EXPO National Day Hall to celebrate International Jazz Day at the EXPO 2025 in Osaka, Kansai, Japan. This event will showcase the unifying power of jazz by bringing together musicians from various nations, ages, and linguistic backgrounds, fostering a dialogue of global citizenship through music.

“Speaking Jazz” will be conducted by the trumpeter Miki Hirose who will be accompanied by his Jazz Orchestra, as well as Grammy award-winning artist Keita Ogawa on percussion for an outstanding performance. special guest musicians, including Ryoko Moriyama who has performed at the Osaka Expo 55 years ago, as well Jean-Paul 'Bluey' Maunick.
