SNJO Presents Two Gils and a Bill: Gil Goldstein Celebrates the Music of Gil Evans and Bill Evans

The Scottish National Jazz Orchestra (SNJO), is joined by 5-time Grammy-winning arranger, producer, pianist and accordionist Gil Goldstein for 3 concerts from 30 April to 2 May, to share a musical journey inspired by his collaborations and friendships with jazz icons Gil Evans and Bill Evans.
The tour begins in the New Auditorium, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, on International Jazz Day; Thursday 30th April.
Goldstein’s work as a pianist is broad, having worked with James Moody, Stan Getz, Chet Baker, Joe Lovano, David Sanborn, Astrid Gilberto, Toninho Horta and Pat Martino. In addition, Goldstein has expanded the scope of the accordion as a jazz instrument; he is now considered one of the leading voices on the instrument.
