In this week’s special edition of Saturday Art Club at Kairo Cafe Fajara, we will be celebrating West African Jazz as a legacy that carries the stories of our ancestors. We will be exploring the works of artists such as Fela Kuti, Manu Dibango and Orchestra Baobab and creating pieces inspired by these incredible musicians. This workshop will celebrate Jazz in all its glory and will leave you feeling inspired and full of life! This workshop is open to all ages and will be held at the Kairo Cafe in Fajara, The Gambia. All art supplies will be provided along with informative resources to learn more about the history of West African Jazz. We hope to see you there and we welcome you with open arms to the vibrant artistic community of The Gambia!
