Samoana Jazz Rising – International Jazz Day Samoa 2026 will take place on 30 April at the Tiapapata Art Centre in Apia, bringing together musicians from Samoa, across the Pacific, and international guests. The event offers a vibrant platform for musical exchange, creativity, and community participation, featuring a diverse lineup that blends global jazz influences with Pacific cultural expression, including featured artists such as the Sinalei Strings featuring Siutu Meyer, Rosaiviti and Philton Solomona with Michael Tamanikaiyaroi, Seki Trio, and the U.S. Pacific Fleet 4-piece Ensemble.
The programme is presented in two segments: an afternoon Educational Session & Jazz Exchange (16:00–18:00), where participants of all levels engage in interactive learning and open jam sessions, followed by an Evening Jazz Concert (18:00–20:00) showcasing local, regional, and international artists across ensemble, vocal, and instrumental performances.
