The collaboration between Sara Jane Ghiotti, an eclectic jazz singer, and the Gershwin Quintet, formed by the airy sounds of the sax quartet and the percussive sounds of the piano, was born on the timeless notes of George Gershwin and Édith Piaf. The music of the American composer, lively and sinuous, 'new' music that opens the doors of concert halls to jazz, picking up on its Afro-American rhythms, interposes itself with the elegance of French music of the 1940s, characterised by the light melancholy of ternary tempos and captivating melodies, made eternal by the voice of Édith Piaf.
