The International Jazz Day Festival in Ethiopia is gaining recognition as a premier celebration of jazz. Held annually in Addis Ababa, it brings together Ethiopia’s jazz icons and international artists for a day of exceptional performances. This unique event unites the local and global jazz communities, offering audiences the chance to experience Ethiopia’s jazz stars on a single stage. Over the years, the festival has celebrated the country’s rich jazz heritage while introducing international sounds. The 2025 edition will take place in the gardens of the Belgian Embassy in Addis Ababa, featuring concerts by Ethiopian and international jazz artists. This one-day festival unites diverse jazz cultures in the diplomatic heart of Africa, Addis.
