We are a Jazz venue based in Lusaka, Zambia, called Athens Sports Cafe and Grill. We have been promoting Jazz (live) over the last five years, in conjunction, with several Jazz artists, such as David Kasochi and his band Afro Red, Maureen Lilanda, Skills Emmanuel, The Blue Notes, Jazz Invitation and Josh Meck from Zimbabwe and Bernice Boikanyo from South Africa, to mention but a few. This year we expect to have Afro Red and The Blue Notes as our headlining bands. Our function will be held on Sunday 1st May 2022, due to conflicting schedules of the bands. We also intend to show videos of assorted international Jazz artists on large screen, during band intervals. We also expect to have impromptu performances by up and coming Jazz artists.
