30 April is UNESCO International Jazz Day. We have been celebrating it since its inception in 2012.
Let the motto this year be the words of Herbie Hancock: “The spirit of jazz is the spirit of openness”. So let’s open up for two days with both traditional jazz, but also one that romances pop and even hip-hop. “What about the Katowice JazzArt Festival?” – you will ask. Rest assured, it will return to us in 2025. And now we invite you to enjoy lots of good, Polish jazz. And, as always, we don’t forget to promote the young and promising, and we make sure that female artists are present in the programme. Performances will include Chango, Jazz Band Młynarski Masecki, Mikromusic, Łona/Konieczny/Krupa TAXI & at the afterparty: Nasz Garaż & Lasy.
