Swedish jazz has since the 1950’s had a unique sound. The fire of American jazz mixed with the melancholy of Swedish folk music, evolved into a jazz dialect of its own. The great baritone saxophonist Lars Gullin composed music in this way. In this concert the music is focused on his music, presented along with new music by Georg Riedel!

Fredrik Lindborg, born in 1979 outside Stockholm, is a tenor and baritone saxophonist that has caught wide attention as a soloist and bandleader. He has recorded a number of albums of his own and guested many others. He not only plays his main instruments, but also the soprano and alto saxophone, the clarinet and bass clarinet.
