Ayni jazz is an artistic residence composed by masterclasses, improvisation workshops and musical dialogues between musicians, and on it´s first edition will take place in Huancayo city from May 6th to 9th. It explores jazz and traditional peruvian music generating a unique interplay. Our name and philosophy comes from andean ancient cultures from Peru. The project is builted by 3 days with workshops and jams and one final concert, that will take place after three days of collective work.

Our inspiration also comes from the Unesco path, around jazz and its declaration as a cultural patrimony, in wich jazz is a unique space for creativity. This space, according to Unesco also builds a field for fighting against discrimination and racism.
