A Global Movement
In 2011, UNESCO designated April 30 to highlight jazz’s diplomatic role in uniting people worldwide. This global initiative is led by UNESCO Director-General and the legendary Herbie Hancock, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador and Chairman of the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz.
The mission promotes jazz as a force for peace, dialogue, and mutual understanding. Join us in the heart of Belgrade as we celebrate the “sound of freedom” together with millions around the globe!
