Organized by emergent art space rift and Merienda Jazz collective, Jazz Day Fest MNL is a free jazz festival that brings together Manila’s new generation of jazz artists to celebrate International Jazz Day with jazz enthusiasts and explorers alike.
April 30 was designated as International Jazz Day by the United Nations and UNESCO in 2011 to highlight jazz’s power to transcend borders and its role in fostering peace and intercultural understanding.
Coming from the success of Sunset Jazz, the biggest jazz party in the Metro in recent history, rift and Merienda Jazz offer Jazz Day Fest MNL to continue making jazz more accessible to a wider and more intergenerational audience.
