International Jazz Day has been an integral part of the Offbeat Jazz Festival Basel for many years. The 2026 festival will run from April 27 to May 26, 2026, offering nearly 30 concerts at many different venues in the tri-national region of Basel. The Jazz Festival Basel will celebrate UNESCO Jazz Day 2026 with a “Sax Night” featuring the Joshua Redman New Quartet. We look forward to intimate ballads and powerful compositions with the warm tone and captivating stage presence of this arguably most significant saxophonist of his generation. The concert will take place at the Stadtcasino Basel and starts at 8:15 p.m.
