Mvumo wa Nyuzi marks Nakuru’s first-ever International Jazz Festival, celebrating International Jazz Day with a vibrant fusion of Afro Jazz, Congolese Rumba, and Salsa Jazz Fusion. Led by Joseph Kirubi and JK Music’s 8-piece ensemble, the event will highlight the richness of African creativity while connecting Nakuru to the global jazz community.
We strive to Introduce diverse jazz traditions to Nakuru audiences, Empower Young people through workshops and masterclasses for aspiring musicians, Strengthen Nakuru’s cultural calendar and foster international cultural exchange, Engage schools, youth groups, and cultural organizations in inclusive programming.
The festival will welcome 150–200 professionals, creatives, and jazz enthusiasts.
