This year, JazzChur once again celebrates the International Jazz Day with stories and music. Together, we listen to timeless jazz classics from recordings and, through conversation, uncover surprising background stories and fascinating anecdotes about the songs we hear. Afterwards, the musicians present breathe new life into these pieces, reinterpreting the classics in a contemporary soundscape with fresh energy and a strong personal voice. In this way, a respectful and vibrant bridge is created between historic, legendary standards and today’s jazz.
