Morfarm Big Band Co, led by Giorgos Morfitis, is a dynamic 12-piece orchestra formed in June 2024. It consists of 10 exceptional musicians and 2 vocalists, all active members of the jazz and ethnic music scene in Cyprus.
The project "The Latin Side of Jazz Standards" breathes new life into classic jazz standards, fusing them with the warmth and energy of Latin and Cuban rhythms. With influences from the Jazz Big Band Era of the 1930s-1940s, the band creates an explosive sonic blend that captivates audiences.
Morfarm Big Band Co is actively seeking international collaborations, participating in jazz festivals, world music events, and cultural programs that promote musical diversity.
